We hope they HELP

We understand that websites and digital marketing can be confusing, so here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions that we get

Why does my business need to have a website?

Having a website is one of the best ways to attract new customers and show the world what your business does. It’s also an opportunity to share your expertise, demonstrate that you know what you’re talking about and explain how you work.

Your website will be a great place for potential customers to start learning about your business. With an effective homepage and clear navigation, they can easily find out what you do, what makes your business different, and how to get in touch.

Websites are great for increasing brand awareness too. With a well-designed site that showcases your logo, branding colours and other visual elements throughout, people will get used to seeing them and start recognising them in other places like social media, adverts or even as they walk past your office or shop.

How important is the content on my website?

When it comes to your website and other marketing materials, the content you create is one of the most powerful tools you have. It communicates your message, educates your readers, and persuades them to purchase your products and services over your competition. In fact, providing high-quality content is one of the most important things you can do to attract clients and create interest in your business.

How important is the look/design of my website?

When you think about your website, do you think about the way it looks? The design is important and can help visitors emotionally connect with what you do. That's why a basic website design can stop people in their tracks. They might not want to go any further. But if your website design is good, it will entice people to continue to explore and find out more about your business.

Why do I need a responsive web design?

Responsive design is a must-have for all companies' websites, as more and more users view web pages on mobile devices. These users expect to be able to access your content from any device, without having to do extra work to see it. Responsive websites are designed so that they automatically scale their content and elements to match the screen size on which they are being viewed. If this is not done, users have to do a lot of extra work to read your content, for instance, scrolling the viewing window from left to right as well as the normal up and down. Also, Google is known to penalise non-responsive websites, giving them a poorer rank in their results.

If you have any questions about responsive design and how we can help you implement it on your site, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We'd love to help you make your site responsive!

What is the difference between a domain and web hosting?

A domain name is the address people type into a browser in order to reach a site. Each domain name is unique to a specific website and cannot be shared or duplicated with other web pages.

For example, our domain name is loggiacreative.co.uk

A web host provides the space where you display your site's content, like text, images, and videos. A web host doesn't necessarily give the address visitors use to reach your site, like www.yourdomain.com.

When you build a site on a platform, let’s take Squarespace for an example, Squarespace is your web host. This means that in addition to providing tools for creating and managing your content, they provide a place on the internet to display your content. Every Squarespace site is stored on its servers, similar to how physical stores rent space in a shopping centre.

What is SEO and is it important?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving your website's ranking in search results.

This is important because if your page appears at the top of search results, more people will see it and click on it, which means more people visiting your site. This helps you drive traffic and leads to your site, boosting sales and brand awareness.

There are several ways to improve SEO:

Meta descriptions help you describe what your page is about in a way that's compelling to users. They can also be used by search engines when they decide whether or not to include it in their search results.
